I started my career as a mortgage broker and learnt the house buying process first handwriting mortgages for investors and dealing directly with the lenders underwriting departments.

This led me to branch out and start finding my own properties to refurb and flip and built up a portfolio of single lets across Merseyside.

When the recession hit we held our portfolio and I moved into what is now known as deal sourcing and packaging mainly working with cash-rich investors finding them cheap stock through my network or buried within the auction houses.

In 2010 I was introduced to lease options and so began my love affair with creative strategies. Combining this, my passion for solving problems, and also entering into the HMO market I took my portfolio up to 134 houses which included 26 HMOs and I self-managed all of it and a lot of lessons were learnt.

Fast forward to 2018, over 1000 property transactions later, I reduced my portfolio down considerably, paid down the remaining debt and focused on my education, improving my mindset, and started looking towards larger scale developments and conversions.

My passion for helping others is stronger than ever and Blue Oak Academy is born out of that passion. From listening to the members within the community and listening to their questions and their needs. The academy delivers everything you need from start to finish in easy to watch and even easier to refer back to bite-sized video format.

Having been involved in property since 2013, I have bought and sold properties all over the country, creating portfolios in the process. My largest income-generating portfolio consisted of 18 HMOs, which I have now sold entirely.

My current portfolio comprises of 29 units which generate £16,000pcm. During my time, I have sourced on and sold over 100 properties to both national and international clients.

Experience-wise, the majority of my owned properties were Buy to Lets and HMOs, some of which were purchased via Lease Options, however, I have completed a few commercial conversions in my time too.

Nowadays, I am heavily involved in Supported Living, mainly sourcing, developing, and then leasing properties to other supported living providers on a long term lease – trying to keep everything as passive as humanly possible!
